It was last night, We were playing a bit o’ the Halo. We had been up and down, mostly down. But we convinces Charlie to come and lose with us. We got on a level that’s really hit or miss. But OH man did I hit it! I didn’t even die! It’s like pitching a perfect game. Sadly I’ve gotten no kills before but never even close to no deaths. I’m usually the crazy asshole that runs into the fight with hardly any shield left. This was crazy game where I couldn’t be stopped. Everytime they came close to killing me, I would pull some amazing move and crush them in the back of the skull. I would also have to say that it was a team effort because I was stealing many kills from the boys. When it was over I was so excited that I actually ran around the room and gave everybody high fives.
Just in case you were thinking I’m an Ultra Nerd… well I am! This may be my single greatest video game achievement. And yes the other team may have sucked… but I whipped their ass.

So we had the 2nd annual cardboard boat race on Saturday. I was really excited about it this year, I had high hopes for our boats this year. I was sure that we had the winning designs. Oh man was I proved wrong. I would have swore that we made almost the same boats as last year. But hindsight is 20/20. Our boats were incredably unstable. I may say.. not even usable. But! But! My boat did win most creative design! Schumaker Cardboard Yacht Club, 2 years in a row!
After the debacle of the first race our boats weren’t looking good. I had paid less attention to structure than last year because my boat was so much more complicated. Jesse took the other approach and went hog wild on the paint and waterproofing. For the second race we had the stroke of genious to tape our boats together, twice the stability! That sort of worked. We almost made it halfway around the course before the Titanic2 blew apart in a sloppy blob of cardboard. But It was much more fun than the first race.
I did have a really good time and I’m sure I’ll be back for next year. I have to defend my design crown! Hopefully I’ll be able to convince some more people to do it with me! I’ll post the pictures in the gallery sometime this week.

I heard once that white people are the “last unprotected race” Everyone is allowed to make fun of us. White men can’t jump, white boys can’t dance, we’re all plain vanilla wrappers. Nobody would get offended by that right? Them’s is just jokes. Maybe I’m just jaded cause in my cirle of friends we all rag on each other. Brick is stupid, Wade is Asian, Suleman is an Afganni, Boner is a man-whore, I’m a goofy bastard. Everyone has something that they get picked on for. It also could be cause we’re 20-something guys with nothing better to do.
But like the cheese we’re all the same on the inside… oh man… how cheesy. I’m a loser

Had the ol’ Giant salad bar today. So cheap, so good. But I crushed it in record time, I had barely sat down when I looked down at a pathetic empty plastic container. It would seem like I’m eating healthy, But I’d have to say that showering it in Italian dressing may not be the best idea. But damn if it isn’t tasty.
On a note totally unrelated to unhealthy salad consumption, I got a new phone. Or actually I was given a new phone. By phone I mean this new supercomputer that I’m keeping in my pocket. Greg (who works for cingular) gave me his old smartphone that he had gotten tired of. Behold the glory that is the Treo 650! It’s taking some time to get used to the size and how it works. But I’ve mostly got it down now. It has a much better camera than the old T616 so the MoBlog should really start to pick up. Unfortunately the pictures are about double the size of the old ones. So it’ll cost more to send them over the cingular network. I’ve been trying to get the Bluetooth adapter to work on my pc, so I can just do one upload to the web at the end of the day. Buuttttt. I’ve been having lots of trouble getting the damn thing to work. You’ll know when I get it working, cause of all the glory that will be had. Seacrest out!

I heard about this article on Elliot this morning. I thought it was a joke… but not so lucky. The NCAA has banned the use of “offensive” nicknames during postseason play this year. These names include Seminoles, Illini, Redmen, Orangemen, blah blah blah. This is asinine. Apparently these names aren’t offensive during the regular season, just the postseason when the national spotlight is on them. You know what’s next right? They will be coming after my Redskins and Braves. Oh and to compound things teams with the nickname warrior are not affected, as well as schools with a significant American Indian enrollment. I wish someone had the balls to stand up to this. I propose the Redskins make a preemptive strike and rename the team to “The Alcoholics” or “The Casino Owners” or something really offensive.
I do want to point out that I am sympathetic to the plight of the American Indian. What we did to them just sucks balls. Broke every treaty we ever made with them. Massacred women and children and forced them to move off their land. Therefore wouldn’t it be more offensive to name a team after Custer than to name a team after the Lakota Indians. Would you want some money from the merchandising? Fine. I think everyone needs to relax, When Florida State plays Notre Dame I’ll be rooting for the Indians to beat the Whites.

Thought I’d get some things done tonight so I didn’t go out to kick the ball around with the boys. At first I was trying to find information on the band HER, but that’s another post entirely… I gave up on trying to get the new treo working without the right drivers and what not… then I took a couple lemon drops to calm my nerves and began phase 3 of the Beer Pong Table, Painting! I had already sketched most of the table design the other day so I was really just doing a giant paint by numbers. This reminded me of painting the mural on the wall with Brian a couple years ago… Honestly it sucked a little, but it has to be done… efforts must be doubled! Back to the sweatshop tomorrow.
