So I fell asleep on the subway this morning. I was just talking about this last night. I think I dozed off at metro center ans the next thing I knew I was waking up in an empty train at the Potomac Ave stop. Not a bad nap! I think that’s link 7 or 8 stops. I guess that’s just my body’s way of taking over and telling me to get more sleep. I’ll take that advice tonight!
FLUSH.

There’s no way I can explain what this means to me, I’ve had permanent goose bumps all morning. This is the coolest most awesome thing that has ever happened to Fairfax. GMU in the Final Four. That doesn’t even make sense? I mean beating UNC was a huge upset and now this??? Sportcenter was all Mason all the time this morning. The Junkies talked the whole time about Mason; they had an interview with coach Larranaga for like 25 minutes! We are making history right now. I keep thinking it will end with the next moment but it never does. These guys are so calm under pressure! They face down the biggest teams in the nation and win!
When I was watching the post game press conferences I’m glad Coach L mentioned one guy, George Evans. George Evans was the leader of our basketball team when I started there in 99. He joined the Navy at 17 and spent a few years in the service before deciding to go to mason. He played with some of these guys his senior year here when he was like 27 (at least). Coach L said that he left his mark on the team and I believe it. These guys listen to the coach like he’s their drill sergeant. But they also know that you only have one shot at something like this and they’re enjoying every minute of it… and so am I!
Watch out Florida, Here comes GMU!

You can never be happy if you can’t be sad.
meetings are really relaying if they don’t specifically affect you. Its kind of like listening to someone speak french… When you don’t speak it.
I don’t get ‘subway runners’. Those people who are constantly running the moment they enter the station or exit the train. I guess I get why they run to the train. But off it? And I know what you’re thinking, Busses? Nope, I’ve definetley seen them run right by the bus stop? Some people are just in too big of a hurry.
with Mason in the sweet 16 its like fairfax is a real college town now. I went to giant and they have green and yellow baloons everywhere, they have basketball cakes out, and the selection of light beer has even gotten better! Its an amazing sight.

HOLY Crap! I just watched the trailer for Xmen 3… and I am totally pumped. I know I’m usually wayyyyyy to influenced by trailers for movies, But this one looks awesome! All the cool characters are in it and unlike the first one they won’t have to spend the whole time introducing people. Kelsey Grammer as Beast looks awesome. I saw Colossus in there for a second. I think Juggernaught could have been bigger, but him breaking through walls was sweet. I know from the preview that somebody dies and that sucks. But if it’s going to be a believable war between humans and mutants then somebody has to go down. I can’t wait! This summer is going to be awesome for blockbuster movies.
Later!
