I love spicy pickles. They are one of the greatest food items of all time. I saw these in Walmart and decided that since Famous Dave’s has a really good reputation for hot sauces. ( I love their ‘devils spit’). They were pretty cheap too so I picked one up.
Bottom line, they are disappointing.
I was surprised when I tasted bread and butter in the spears but I patently waited for the spice to kick in. It never did. Seriously this is another case of spicy products being dumbed down by some bullshit marketing company. Every single sauce at Dave’s is spicier than this, even the mild. Just to make sure that I wasn’t missing some spice that was floating in the juice, I took a drink of the brine. Then I tasted it… That hint of pepper that would make your grandma say, Oooh heavens this is too spicy for me.
I’m disappointed in you Dave.
As a bread and butter spear I give it a 2
As a spicy pickle, 0 out of 5 Schus

I totally agree. I threw my jar away.
I buy Dave’s pickle chips at Costco in the 50 gal drum. (Kidding, but it’s a HUGE container.) Then I add some of this infused salt to kick up the heat and add a little more brine. Really brings them to life.
I would like to know where to purchase the big jars of pickles. we did buy at costco. they no longer care them.walmart has little jars. but we want the big jars.
I absolutely love pickles. I was excited when I bought a jar of Dave’s Famous. I got home, opened the jar, had one bite, and literally threw the entire jar away. It was absolutely disgusting. I am shocked that they actually produce this. Wow.
