I was working on some paintings last night for Art-O-Matic… because it’s in like 2 weeks and I need to get this shiznit done. I usually love my sketches and then cant seen to transition them to full sized paintings… or use color in them. I was a little worried about this one, but giving it a second look this morning I think I’m on the right track.
So while trying to fix my phone from the last time I killed it I’ve made things worse. First I got a loaner phone that was pretty good so it distracted me from fixing my 8125 quickly. So I decided to paint the 8125 and make it cooler. I’ve modded controllers so I thought that I might be good at painting small plastic parts… turns out phones are slick… and painted with some kind of teflon. So the paint turned out to be a minor disaster. Well at least the phone works right… well, no. The screen works… which was the problem in the first place, but not the keyboard dosent work right and the earpiece is broken. So I can only use it on speakerphone… then while trying to fix that I broke off the usb connector, so I can’t charge it.
I’m pretty sure I’m just going to buy a new phone, I might still try to fix this one, I don’t like to give up on projects. I was thinking of fixing the treo 650 so that I would at least have a backup phone if when this happens again. But now I have doubts that will workout right, it did get run over by Laurel’s car. I think I need an indestructible phone. when I get a new one Im going to ge the biggest titanium case for it.

I’ve always thought there was art to be found around the office, this is my first attempt to capture some of it. It’s a work in progress (the cat broke the frame and I haven’t cut anything yet). But I think it has potential!

Every year or so I decide it’s been long enough to try and grow a mustache again. I think I have a long term memory problem, I know it’s not going to look good… But I do it anyway. I think what it really means is that I ‘m happy and don’t care how I look to other humans.
Although I think the “Great Hair Migration” that’s happening on my stomach and chest is also happening on a much smaller scale on my upper lip. It’s almost like it’s one mustache now instead of two caterpillars running away from each other. (I have my dad to thank for that). But I do like to have little projects to keep me busy… so here’s to experimental beard growning.
I just read a story on Dark Horizons that has me feeling old. Well older that I think I should feel. It seems that the Hollywood remake machine has run out of fuel so their just tossing anything in there just to see what comes out. They’re remaking “Short Circuit”. I think this is a bad idea. Not for the usual reasons that you would think. While I do like this movie and remember Johnny 5 very well, I know that this is a bad movie. I still like it… probably because I was 5 years old when it came out. But even I have memories of some horrible robot human dance/love scene… and come on it starred Steve Guttenberg!

So when I moved out I noticed that it looked like someone spilled beer on my reciever and my computer downstairs. I didn’t really think about it because I don’t really use that desktop much anymore since I have a laptop. Well I finally got around to fixing it and re-installing the OS. I bought a new dvd drive because it was cheap. Good thing I did, when I opened up the drive to see what was the matter I found this.
Now I’m really wondering why I have to turn the volume up so much on the reciever, I bet the wires are all corroded with beer. Thanks Dorks.
