The Interweb
My kind of cakes
Entertainment, The InterwebI re-discovered a website that I bookmarked a few months ago. It’s Cake Wrecks… a blog dedicated to cake decorating gone horribly wrong. To me the only thing better than a really nicley done cake is a really terrible one!
I don’t want no mediocre cake.
The Underbelly of the Internet
Entertainment, The InterwebI love finding weird sites and weird communities of people on the internet. I’m not talking about pedophiles or Child Pornography weird, just regular old American weird… or possibly Japanese weird at the most. Everybody always asks me how I find these sites, sometimes it’s through blogs like neatorama, Boing Boing, or Dubious Quality.
Other times I’m just better at the internet than you are… deal with it.
Here are some recent finds.
Giada’s Cleavage – A site dedicated to the boobs of Giada De Laurentis from the Food Network
Pot That Zit – A horrifying community of people sharing picture and videos of zits, abcesses, and cysts… popping. Even their logo is gross.
Negse – A japanese guy that has been documenting his bedhead, everyday, since 2000.
Welcome to my world.

And I should have paid attention more to the Voltron question. I totally blew that one.
Awesome Obama Ad.
Entertainment, The InterwebI didn’t post the Ron Howard/Andy Griffith/Henry Winkler ad because while I thought it was good, it just wasn’t that funny. They spent too much time explaining things and not enough time entertaining.
But this is different. The guys from the Budweiser “Wasssupp” ads made a new one for Obama
McCain inspires no one

CNN.com has the best comments of the web.
Entertainment, The InterwebEmily Perkins wrote…
As a Christian, I am often frustrated by the media only choosing to show extremists and wackos as opposed to those who actually follow the teachings of Christ. I can’t imagine, however, how it must be to be a Muslim in the United States today, where the term itself is used to try to disqualify and smear a presidential candidate. I pray that the voice of Muslim-Americans across the nation will be heard as clearly as any other. Freedom of religion is supposed to be a fundamental of this country. Maybe we will live to see the day when this is a reality.

I don’t think it’s that the users of that website are more intellegent than others, I’ll bet its that the comments are more heavily moderated because they are a very visable website. I don’t know what website has the best community of commenters but if I had to list the bottom 3 it would be…
- IMDB.com
- Youtube.com
- Fark.com
Wretched hives of scum and villany
