wordpress admin pages are really not designed for the mobile internet
Author: admin
Two new blog related things.
Projects, websitesI figured out how to upload pictures directly to this blog… it was in a box 2 inches below where I type the blogs in… and I design web pages for a living. Oh well, it’s working now, so I think I’ll spice the place up a little with some camera phone pics of whatever I’m talking about. Could be fun.
In the same vein, I’ve also decided to use the “notes” feature on the 8125 to get down all the little tidbits of blog comments that I think of. When I’m on the Metro I constantly think of little things to say. But I never have the time to get them up on the blog, not that it really matters because nobody reads this thing. But it would be nice to get the old ideas out of my head (to make room for new ones). I’m pretty sure I can only have like 30 things going on in my head at the same time, that includes appointments, projects, upcoming birthdays.
Today on the way home I’ll try to set up the mo-blog again. I had it working on the Treo but it was never a smooth system. With windows mobile I’m hoping I can just call up this page and log in like normal. Should be a pretty smooth process.

Bart's People: Hipster Doufus
Life, Randomness
Theres something strange about a short fat bald man using a 17 inch Powerbook on the metro. Its something in the juxtaposition of the beauty and the beast. This guy should be using an old laptop. Not even a good brand, something like Compaq. He’s wearing a blue polo shirt that emphasizes his supple man meat, faded kakhis with cuffed legs, and old brown leather shoes. I can’t see what he’s doing over there , probably just watching a DVD. This seems like the kind of guy who would spend 3500 on a laptop just to use it as a portable DVD player. All I’m saying is that he’s definatley not the “Mac Guy” from the commercials.

swalrus.org up and bloggering
Projects, websitesI’ve set up the art blog over at swalrus.org
I’ve linked it to my flickr account so all I have to do is upload a picture to flickr and then click “blog it” to send it over to the site. It’s been working pretty well. I’ve documented some of the projects I did last year. I’m trying to keep it updated regularly. We’ll see how long it lasts.

Weekend jam packed to the maxxxxxxx
Life, RandomnessThis weekend was jam packed. I think I did more in two days than I did all last weekend. On Friday softabll season began again with a crushing loss to the “Nova Electrical Workers Union” aka. “The ‘Roiding Bashers”. Saturday Laurel and I decided to play tennis in the extreme heat, idea=good, heatstroke=bad. Nobody died so I was able to watch Virginia Tech get smashed into little pieces by a dominant LSU team. The next day I drove out to Ashburn to watch the Redskins game at Darryl and Nadine’s house. It was a pretty good game (Skins win!) Just when you think I can’t pack anything more into this weekend… We see Lynard Skynard play in Leesburg. Busy weekend, but all I can say is…
FREEEEEEBBBBIRRRRRDDDD!!!!

pregeration situation
Projects, Stuff and ThingsThis is “The Pregerator” it’s the kegerator I made for our bar. Up until last year we could only fit quarter kegs in it because of the compressor shelf at the lower back of the fridge. The smaller keg would sit on the shelf (and a box of popcorn) and the original door would close.
But that got old fast.
So I cut away most of the original door and redid the insulation with spray foam. Then I shaped the outside and used fiberglass to give it a hard outer shell. Finish with krylon textured paint and here you have it. I even reused the kenmore logo on the door.
It’s been working fine for about two years now. I think it’s the smallest full sized kegerator out there, DIY or commercial.
I should market this!
